Education
Law degree, Universidad Gabriela Mistral; admitted to the bar in 1991. Postgraduate diplomas in Economic Criminal Law (2002) and Criminal Procedure Reform and Oral Litigation (2003), Universidad Alberto Hurtado. Lecturer on bankruptcy in the LL.M. program of Universidad del Desarrollo (2007–2010).
Experience
He has devoted his entire practice to litigation. Between 1990 and 2016 he was in charge of the civil and criminal court matters of the cash-in-transit company Brink's.
In criminal law he focuses on bankruptcy and economic offenses; in civil law he has litigated before ordinary, special and arbitration courts, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
In insolvency he represents creditors and debtors in reorganizations and liquidations, sits on creditors' committees — some with cross-border effects — and has advised liquidators and trustees in complex proceedings. In recent years he has also served as an arbitrator.
